"A picture is worth a thousand words" pretty much sums up the lamps you will see on this site. So, I have included lots of pictures in order to provide you with a visual feast of each original design. Each of these lamps is unique. I never duplicate. Even when I purchase a set of antique lamps I do not attempt to make matching shades, that is, unless I receive a special request to do so. One of the reasons for this is that quite often I have only a limited supply of a vintage fabric or trim. I have, over many years of collecting and sewing with fabric, perfected the art of mixing, matching and coordinating various pieces. The fabrics and trims I use might be ancient silk kimono fabric or newer designer fabrics, strands of antique beads or luscious imported pieces. Whatever I find at my fingertips becomes even more beautiful as I drape, pin, tuck, and stitch these exquisite pieces together and then attach them to a unique frame. Come in and see for yourself:
